Are you a Yorkshire Building Society, Chelsea Building Society or N & P customer or employee?
If so, you could help Disabled people in Bristol by asking your building society to support Bristol Disability Equality Forum.
We know that many Disabled and older people are very isolated so we are starting up Drop-Ins for Disabled people in Bristol so they can meet every month for a chat and a cuppa, share information, find out what is accessible to them in the local community, learn how they can get involved, meet new people and make friends.
Some people will need accessible transport to get to their area Drop-In. A grant from the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation would mean we could help those people who can’t afford it. It would also enable us to support those who can’t afford to take part for other reasons e.g. they need personal care support when out, or need a British Sign Language interpreter to be able to take part, or even just need the price of a tea/coffee because they cannot afford it for themselves.
So, please visit: http://www.ybs.co.uk/societymatters/charitable-foundation/index.html
and then click on the link in the section headed ‘How do I make a recommendation?’
It will only take around 10 minutes of your time, but the impact could make the world of difference to some people’s lives.
